TWO of Enniscorthy's best known and long established institutions came together to provide a great night's entertainment last week.

The night at the dogs in the Ross Road was a well attended highlight of the Credit Union's celebration of 50 years serving the community.

More than 1,000 people availed of the free admission to throng the venue and enjoy a full programme of races, despite the occasional shower.

Credit Union chairman Pat O'Shea was delighted with the turn-out and thanked the stadium team led by Michael and Lorraine Dempsey for organising the night's entertainment.

He pointed out the that Enniscorthy CU now has 27,000 members and he urged anyone not already on the books to call in to the landmark credit union headquarters are very reasonably priced or consider the many different insurances we now offer.
