Properties to be sold
Two County Council-owned properties at Duffry Gate are to be put up for sale after it was decided that they were 'not suited for social housing purposes'.
The properties at 20 and 20a Duffry Gate are now to be sold to Grants Pharmacy in Duffry Gate for €95,000.
At the recent meeting of Enniscorthy Municipal District Council, housing officer Padraig O'Gorman explained to the members that every avenue had been explored with a view to transforming the properties into social housing. Cllr Willie Kavanagh asked if there were a way of knocking the two properties into one, to which Mr O'Gorman responded that it simply wasn't possible.
Grants Pharmacy, which, it is reported, intends to use the two properties to expand its commercial unit space.
