While we've endured some incredibly harsh weather in recent weeks, the stretch in the evenings and the slight rise in temperature already has people thinking of getting back out and enjoying their gardens.

Green-fingered garden enthusiasts keen to take advantage of their gardens arrived at Enniscorthy Library recently for a special talk with expert Ken Rothwell of Beechdale Garden Centre. Entitled 'Putting Colour in Your Garden This Spring', Ken passed on some great hints and tips to his audience on how to get the most from their green space this year.

With years of experience under his belt as owner of Beechdale Garden Centre just outside Clonroche, Ken was just the man to help gardeners to get through what has been a trying time for many garden plants. He focused on combining seasonal shrubs and plants to produce an array of colour that is sure to set any garden off at this time of year. He was also able to provide examples of the plants and shrubs he was referring to from the garden centre and show some of the plants they had on offer. He thanked those who came along and the library were grateful to him for his time.
