Killanne church provided the venue for a wonderful night of music when it played host to a performance by St Canice's Cathedral Choir from Kilkenny.

The choir included a wide selection of sacred music in its repertoire representing five centuries of Christian worship.

Some of the choir members have family connections with the church or are linked to it in other ways so for many singers it was a home-from-home event.

The choir offered its services at the event to raise money for the upkeep on the church.

On what was a wonderful night of music they were accompanied by internationally renowned organist, Malcolm Proud, and the performance took place under the watchful eye and baton of the choir's musical director, David Forde.

The organisers were delighted with the event and thanked everyone who supported and especially the choir members for travelling down to perform.
