Social dancing - A social dancing event will take place in Oylegate village on Sunday, January 12.
It will be held in the local community centre and the music will be provided by the popular duo, Teddy and Cathal Barry.
They will be making a very welcome return to the village where they always go down very well.
Dancing will get under way at 9.30 p.m. and the cost of admission will be €8.

First Holy Communion in Marshalstown and Castledockrell will take place on Saturday, May 9, and Sunday, May 17, respectively.

The next session of storytelling in Castledockrell Hall will take place on Thursday, January 16, at 8 p.m.
The organisers of the sessions express gratitude to everyone who supported the events throughout the last 12 months.
They are also looking for-ward to seeing friends 'old and new' throughout 2020.
Refreshments will be served on the night and a raffle will also be held.
Senior citizens party
Preparations are under way for this year's senior citizens' party in Boolavogue which will take place on Sunday, January 26.
The local junior and senior Foróige Club will be busy over the coming days as they prepare for the party.
The club's leaders are looking forward to meeting up with all the members for the coming year and in preparing for the party.
The event is open to all senior citizens in the greater Boolavogue area.

Dancing in Marshalstown
The next Social Dance in Marshalstown hall will take place on Friday, January 17.
Doors will open at 9.30 p.m. and dancing will begin at 10 p.m.
Admission to the event, inclusive of tea, will be €8.
Tidy Towns AGM
Clonegal Tidy Village Association will hold its Annual General Meeting on Wednesday, January 15, at 8 p.m.
The meeting will take place in St Brigid's Hall, Clonegal and everyone in the community is invited to attend.
The annual Patrons and blessing of graves in the Marshalstown and Castledockrell areas will take place on the following dates: Marshalstown - Sunday, May 31; Castledockrell - Friday, July 3; and Crioshue - Saturday, July 4.
More details on times relating to all three patrons will be published in this newspaper closer to their respective dates.
A local link bus service has started in the Ferns area and runs on Tuesdays and Fridays.
The bus leaves Clologue at 9.45 a.m. and travels to through Ferns and Ballyduff to Gorey and returns from Gorey at 1.30 p.m.
The return journey takes it back through Ballyduff and Ferns to Clologue.
The free travel pass is accepted and children under 5 can also travel free of charge. The cost of a single fare is just €3 and the return fare is €6.
An important aspect of the service is that it is demand- responsive and needs to be booked in advance by 3 p.m. the day beforehand.

Pick-ups can be made at the door along the way by giving an Eircode when booking a place.

Memorial fun run
The Tara Bishop memorial fun run will take place in Ballymurn on Sunday, January 26, at 12 noon.
The run is being organised to raise money for Temple Street Children's University Hospital and Ballymurn National School.
Registration for the event will take place in the local hall from 10.30 a.m. to 11.45 a.m.
Participants will be able to run or walk the course and refreshments will be served in the hall afterwards.
Spot prizes will also be handed out on the day.
Last year, there were 600 participants and the organisers are hoping for even more success this year.
Enniscorthy road race
This year's Enniscorthy 10km road race will take place on Sunday, February 16, at 12 noon.
As usual, the event is being sponsored by Creane & Creane Insurance and is being organised by Slaney Olympic Athletic Club.
The new course this year will see the participants travel out the Old Dublin road to Scarawalsh and back in the 'new road'.
It will be just under two laps of the course and will have a small rise of just 94 metres.
However, places this year will be limited to 400 so early entry is advisable.
Oylegate text alert
It's the time of year to sign up for the forthcoming text alert scheme in Oylegate.
Under GDPR rules, all participants need to sign a form to register for the coming year.
These forms are available at Mernagh's or the Slaney Inn for collection.
The completed forms need to be handed back to the committee.
Your participation in this scheme is vital to help keep our community safe.
Party time in the Ballagh
The Ballagh senior citizens' party will be held in Bob's Bar function room on January 11.
The invitations will be issued shortly.
If you have any unwanted gifts that you would like to donate for prizes, they would be much appreciated.
The next draw in the Duffry Rovers GAA club lotto will take place in Rackard's of Caim on Tuesday, January 7, at 9.30 p.m.
The jackpot is now €6,500.
There were three match-three winners in the last draw: Eamon Doyle, Karl Forster and Noel Armstrong.
The numbers drawn were 6, 14, 17 and 19.
The 'Caim Memorials to the Dead' graveyard booklet is now available for sale.
The book contains details of the burials in the graveyards as well as some old photographs of sporting and school groups in the area.
It's a very useful aid for those interested in family history.

Motive8 for 2020
A new fitness initiative will begin in Rathnure this week aimed at helping people adopt a healthier lifestyle for the new year.
Registration for Motive8 2020 will take place at Rathnure Hall at 8 p.m. on Friday, January 10.
Everyone in the community is encouraged to get involved and it will provide an ideal way to offset the excesses of the festive period while also providing a brilliant social outlet for people in the community.
Fun run in Rathnure
A fun run event in conjunction with this year's Motive8 2020 initiative in Rathnure will take place this coming Sunday, January 12, at 11 a.m.
The run will get under way at 11 a.m. and online registration can be accessed through www.rathnuregaa.ie
The legendary Jerry Fish will be making a welcome visit to Enniscorthy when he stops off at the Presentation Centre on Friday, March 13, at 8.30 p.m.
'Songs and Tales of Jerry Fish' is sure to attract a capacity crowd to the venue and the show will undoubtedly be one of the most entertaining events staged in the venue all year.
Renowned for his showmanship and Vaudeville style stage antics almost as much as he is for his fantastic music, this is a show for lovers of theatre as well as music.
Every show on this tour will be unique and the boundaries between audience and performer will be completely eroded.
With two new singles in the pipeline, including one featuring Enniscorthy's very own majestic songsmith, Wallis Bird, this will be a show not to be missed.
Tickets, priced €22, are available from the venue reception and online.
The lights will be on at the walking track in Oylegate GAA Grounds every Monday, Wednesday and Friday evening from 7.30 p.m. to 9 p.m. and the facility is available to all in the community.
Everyone in the community is invited to go along and get fit for the new year.
The couch to 5k group also meets on Wednesday evenings and everyone is welcome to participate.
The month's mind mass for the late Bridie Cummins (née Fowler) Ballyeden, Davidstown will be at 6 p.m. in Ballykelly this Saturday.
