Council take over St Senan’s Lane
As part of the preparation for the new business and technology park at Kilagoley, Wexford County Council has taken charge of the road known as St Senan's Lane, Kilagoley. Director of Services Eamonn Hore had recommended that the road be declared a public road and no objections were received.
While the members were happy to approve the move, they found it somewhat bizarre that the full lane was not being taken in charge, but merely a section of 167 metres. 'I think this might be an issue with the HSE, but taking in charge half of the road kind of defeats the purpose of what it's for in my opinion,' said Cllr Paddy Kavanagh. District Manager Liz Hore said that she would note the council's approval, but would make a note to go back and look at taking the rest of the road in charge as well.
