Councillor Barbara-Anne Murphy raised concerns at this month's meeting of Enniscorthy Municipal District Council over trees not being replaced on the Mall in Bunclody.

Cllr Murphy said that in the last three years four of the trees had been removed and not been replaced.

'I was told they would be replaced,' she said.

'There was a mile of lime trees sown there in the early days of the estate,' she added.

'It would be a shame not to replace them.'

Area Engineer for Roads, Neil Dempsey, said in response that it was something that could be looked at.

'We would remove them if they were considered dangerous,' he said.
