People in Enniscorthy were shocked and saddened last week to learn of the sudden passing of a local man who was well known in the community,

Jonathan 'Blackie' Walsh, from Millbrook and formerly of 19 Moran Park, passed away on Wednesday.

Loving father of Lennon, Dion and Sophia, he was a son of Anne and the late Jonners Walsh.

Mr Walsh's brother, David 'Motcha' Walsh, died as a result of wounds he received in a stabbing incident in Australia in February, 2017, and the fact the Walsh family are now again faced with the heartbreak of his passing has shocked local people.

In addition to his children Mr Walsh is survived by his mother, Anne, siblings, Paddy, Barry, Stephen, Kalem, and Faith, his godmother, Mary Hanley, uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces, cousins, extended family, relatives and friends.

Mr Walsh's remains were conveyed to Mount Jerome Crematorium on Saturday, March 14.
