Soccer players get new strip ahead of UK trip

Players in the schoolboys section of Moyne Rangers FC are gearing themselves up for a trip to the UK in November when they will face-off in a friendly against English opponents.

The players will he heading off for three days from November 1, and during the trip they will get to watch Manchester City play against Southampton and receive a coaching session from professional coaches.

The club's players and parents have raised funds to enable the young squad to travel on what will be a dream trip to witness top flight soccer.

A spokesperson for the club said everyone involved is very excited about the trip.

She also acknowledged the support the club has received from within the local community and in particular the club is very appreciative of how well supported its recent draw and bucket collection was.

Enniscorthy Credit Union sponsored the club's U15 players with new jerseys and Aine Doyle represented the organisation in presenting the new strip to Manager, Willie Browne, and team Captain, James Lawless.
