Patsy Nolan of St Aidan's Villas was surrounded by family and friends at the Riverside Park Hotel recently as he marked his 92nd birthday! Patsy worked for many years alongside his brother Ogie as a cobbler and saddler and the pair became engrained in the folklore of the town prior to Ogie's passing aged 95 over Christmas.

As active as ever, Patsy was surrounded by a big group of family as they enjoyed a night out to celebrate his birthday.

While some would consider putting the feet up at his age, Ogie keeps busy with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren and also goes out to play whist and bridge at the CWCW and The Bailey, taking great joy out of his wins!

While he doesn't believe there's any particular secret to his longevity, Patsy is a proud pioneer and has never drank. In fact he and his late wife Nancy used to frequent pioneer dances where they'd strut their stuff on the dancefloor!

The birthday boy was delighted to be surrounded by family to mark the special occasion and a great night was had by all as he blew out the candles on his 92nd birthday cake!
