Duffry Rovers Camogie Club would like to thank the outgoing committee and welcome the incoming committee of John Codd, Linda Codd, Annmarie Foley, Laura Hanrahan, Mary Ellen Boyce, Tom Bates, Helen Murphy, Joan Nolan and Melissa Codd. Registration for members for 2013 will take place on 5th February in Coolree at 6.30pm. Training for u8's and u10,s takes place in Coolree every Monday night from 6.15-715pm. All new members welcome.


The death occurred at St. Vincent's Hospital, Dublin on Thursday 24th January of Michael (Mick) Larkin, Kilcullen, Ballindaggin. Age 69 years. Deepest sympathy is extended to his sisters Stella (Scotland) and Eileen (Waterford) and to his brother Jim (Wales). Also to his nieces, nephews, and other relations. He was pre-deceased by his sister Nan and brother Ned.

Mick, as he was fondly known, was a very well known and popular figure in his native Ballindaggin. He was deeply religious and loved walking and his kind and gentle personality endeared him to all who had the pleasure of knowing him.

There was a large attendance at his funeral to Ballindaggin Church on Friday evening and also at Requiem Mass on Saturday after which interment took place in ad-joining Cemetery. May he rest in peace.


Kiltealy Cardiac First Response thank everyone for their generous support at the Church gate collection on 19/20th January. €514.54 was raised on the dates and €200 was raised on the Christmas hamper draw giving a grand total of €714.54.


Congratulations to Jim Hanrahan who won €170 in Kiltealy N.S. fundraiser "Split the Pot" draw on 21st January.


Eucharistic Adoration takes place in Kiltealy Church every Monday beginning after 9.45 am Mass and ending at 2 pm. Eucharistic Adoration in Ballindaggin Church every Tuesday all day ending with Mass at 8pm. All welcome.


Members of Ballindaggin Pipe Band extend sincere sympathy to Fr. John Sinnott P.P. on the recent death of his mother Katie Sinnott, Kilmuckridge. May she rest in peace.


Enrolment forms are now available at St. Colman's N.S., Ballindaggin and also on the school website for junior infants intending to start school at St. Colman's in September 2013. Please complete and return forms to the school office by Friday 22nd February.


The Duffry Rovers GAA Club are participating in a Countywide record breaking monster general Quiz which will be hosted by Wexford GAA and South East Radio in Jordan's of Ballindaggin on Thursday 21st February.

With the help of the Duffry Rovers and GAA clubs and venues around the county Wexford GAA plan to smash the Guinness book of records for a quiz held with the most participants, in the most venues, in one night! The quiz questions will be broadcast live on South East Radio into each venue so everyone hears the same questions at the same time.

First prize €1,000 for winning team plus a set of jerseys for their nominated GAA club. - 2nd Prize €500 for winning team plus 4 All Ireland tickets for their nominated GAA club. 3rd Prize €250 for winning team plus 4 gold season tickets to Wexford Park. €40 per team of 4.

The numbers drawn last week were; 4, 6, 11, 26. Match 3 winners were; Annmarie Foley, Caim. Eddie Doyle, Ballindaggin and Tom Jones c/o A. Kehoe. Sellers prizes went to; Mohurry Mills, James Howlin, John Casey and Michael Doyle. This week's draw is in Rackard's, Caim tonight Tuesday 29th January at 9.30 pm and the jackpot is €9,300.


A night of comedy, drama and music will take place on Saturday 23rd February in Jordan's, Ballindaggin in aid of The Hope Centre, Enniscorthy and Wexford Hospice Homecare.

The show will begin at 9.30pm and there will be a raffle also. Donations will be accpeted at the door.
