Gymkhana day changed

Brendan Keane

This year's annual Clonroche Gymkhana will take place on Saturday, July 27.

The event was due to take place the following day, however, the organisers said they didn't want it to clash with Wexford's appearance in the all-Ireland senior hurling semi-final and have decided instead to hold their event on Saturday.

It will begin at 10.30 a.m. with horse and pony jumping events while the dog show, which is always very popular, will take place at 2 p.m.

There will be usual wide range of fringe events on-site to keep all members of the family entertained and the organisers are encouraging everyone on the locality to go along to what could prove to be a highlight of the summer.
