EVC students take their fundraiser to the bank!
Students from the Enniscorthy Vocational College orchestra brought a bit of Christmas cheer to Bank of Ireland in Abbey Square as they performed for customers. The performance was run in conjunction with an ongoing fundraiser by the school's Business Studies department in the hopes of raising much needed funds for LauraLynn - Ireland's Children's Hospice.
Students from 1st to 6th year took part in the initiative and were delighted with the reaction they received from the public. There was a great diversity of music performed including Christmas carols, Irish music and even a little bit of jazz!
A raffle was also held in addition to the collection and the enterprise students were delighted with the generous response of the public. The orchestra hosted a second fundraising concert in the parents' room of the college in the same week and were hopeful to of providing a nice Christmas bonus to the LauraLynn Foundation.
