A generous donation was made to Enniscorthy Special Olympics Club last week, before they set off for All-Ireland Games on Thursday.

Fintan Broaders, who is a service user of County Wexford Community Workshop, presented a cheque for €1,800 to representatives from Enniscorthy Special Olympics Club in Astro Active Centre on Friday.

Fintan took part in a sponsorship walk last month at Astro Active Centre in Enniscorthy, which is a multi-sports facility consisting of an all-weather surface.

Head Coach of Enniscorthy Special Olympics Paul Cosgrave said more than 100 people took part in the walk, and it was up to the individuals how long they wanted to do it.

'Each one was given a sponsorship card, and Fintan managed to raise €1,800 for Enniscorthy Special Olympics club which we are very grateful for,' added Paul.
