Cloughbawn GAA club are organising a 24-hour Hurlathon to take place on Friday June 22nd from 6pm to 6pm Saturday June 23rd. This achievement is part of a Guinness World Record Attempt. To comply with Guinness World record rules there must be a panel of 46 players, 2 panels of 23 each, Referee on duty throughout the full 24 hours and the team can only take a 5 minute break for every hour of hurling played. This is a hugh undertaking by the club and we are very fortunate that we have the facilities to run the event.

All players from the three adult teams are training hard in preparation for the game and are busy fundraising. There will be other events taking place over the duration of the 24hrs including underage hurling and camogie blitz, BBQ, face painting, special guests. Your support in any way would be appreciated, but especially throughout the 24 hours from 6pm on the Friday to 6pm the following evening.
