Oylegate Vintage Club topped off a wonderful year of fundraising with the presentation of a cheque for €500 to Meals on Wheels Wexford. The donation came from club funds which were raised through various events over the course of the year, and the club members were delighted to help such a worthy cause, particularly at this time of year.

This latest donation brings the club's fundraising total for 2017 to over €6,500 for local charities. Among those to benefit were the local Special Olympics Club, Our Lady of Fatima School in Wexford and Wexford Hospice Homecare. Special Olympics and Our Lady of Fatima were the beneficiaries of a major road run hosted by the club back in May, while the Hospice received a cheque from funds raised at the annual auto-jumble.

Jim Goggins from Wexford Meals on Wheels accepted the cheque from the club on this occasion and thanked them for their support. Henry Cosgrave from the club wished to thank members of vintage clubs throughout the county, along with the local community for all the support throughout the year. The club will hold its annual auto-jumble on March 11, and the road run will take place on May 13.
