Gaelic4Girls Programme

There was plenty of fun and football recently for the Kildavin-Clonegal girls who finished the Gaelic4Girls programme with a very enjoyable blitz in Carlow Town Hurling Club. Most of these girls aged between 8-12 had never played football before and this eight-week programme saw girls learn the basic skills and participate in some fun mini games.

It is hoped the girls will now continue to train with the club into the future. On day two, teams participated with both playing three matches. The girls also recently received their Gaelc4Girls T-shirt and will shortly receive their certificate of participation. Big thanks to all involved. Anyone interested in joining should contact Sarah at 087 2823110.

It really was appreciated. A special thanks to Luke Kavanagh and Blanchfield's Bar.

If anybody still has outstanding sponsorship cards could you please return them to Mary Flynn, Cathy Kehoe, Kathleen Doyle or Norah Murphy as soon as possible. Thanks again to everybody involved. We hope that you keep the date in the diary again for next year.
