Oulart-The Ballagh under-13 footballers who compete in Division 4, defeated St Mary's Maudlintown in the county final in St Patrick's Park, Enniscorthy on Thursday, September 12. This talented group of players have already won the top division of hurling and are congratulated on achieving a wonderful double.
There was much local disappointment and dismay on Saturday, September 7, when Oulart-The Ballagh senior hurlers exited the county championship, having been held to a draw by Glynn-Barntown (13 points each) and having won only one of the five championship matches they played in 2019. On the following day the intermediate hurlers who had topped their group lost to Geraldine-O' Hanrahans in the championship quarter - final.
The newly erected scoreboard at the upper pitch was in operation for the first time last Saturday evening when Oulart-The Ballagh Senior camogie team played St Martin's in the rescheduled group championship fixture. The understrength home side was defeated and will meet Rathnure in the Co. semi-final while St Martin's will play Glynn-Barntown.
