Camogie

Our under-12 camogie team travelled up to the national sports centre in Dublin recently to represent our club and county. All 18 players today participated in minimum of two out of three games. We played three strong teams Ballyboden St Enda's (Dublin) Clane (Kildare) and Camross from Laois. We beat Clane in our first game and they lost out in a very tight battle to Ballyboden by four Pts. We faced Camross in our last game and after another really hard game we came away with a draw. All girls gave their all and this fantastic group are a credit to our club.

Our under-8 girls played their first game of the season recently We welcomed both Oylegate and Davidstown to our club and we had two Monagear teams. Each of our under-eight teams performed brilliantly and were very impressive. All their great work in training is paying off. At the end of all the games all teams played 'jump the river' which was nearly as competitive as the games themselves. Well done to all players and coaches. The future is bright with these girls.

Our super camogie under-six team made their debut recently in a practice match against Oylegate, our girls had a great match. Well done girls and coaches.
