A cuppa for a great cause goes a long way!
The organisers of a special Coffee Morning which was held in the Presentation Centre last month wish to thank everyone who contributed and helped to make the event a success. The brainchild of Margaret Walker, the event managed to raise a total of €850 for Féileacáin (the Stillbirth and neonatal death Association of Ireland).
The organisation was formed by a group of bereaved parents who supported each other after the death of their own babies and decided to make a group to formally offer support to other parents and families in similar situations. The organisation provides memory boxes, offers friendship and support in a safe and confidential setting and hosts a range of remembrance services and family events.
The coffee morning was a great success and saw a range of seasonal confectionery served up along with tea, coffee and plenty of chat. There was also a monster raffle with many lovely prizes snapped up by those in attendance. Margaret wished to thank everyone who came along on the day as well as everyone who helped out on the morning of the fundraiser. She also wished to thank Hogan Print who sponsored the posters and all who donated raffle prizes and sweet treats. She is now looking forward to handing over the cheque to this worthy cause and they are extremely grateful for her tireless fundraising.
