Flash award is presented to entrepreneur Niall

A teenager from Enniscorthy has won a major national award for an innovative business idea.

Niall Kehoe (16), from Enniscorthy, won the Enterprise Ireland award for 'best investor pitch' at this year's National Ploughing Championships.

Niall was one of 50 exhibitors in the Enterprise Ireland innovation arena at the event.

He won his award for an app he developed called Flash Records which is aimed at helping farmers with their accounts, farm records and employee payslips.

He was presented with his award by Enterprise Ireland executive director, Stephen Creaner, Minister Heather Humphries TD, and the Director of the National Ploughing Association, Anna May McHugh.

It was the sixth year that the innovation arena showcased groundbreaking new agri ideas.

Niall received a €1,000 cash prize for his idea in addition to a specially commissioned plaque.

His was one of five business ideas or companies that received awards at the event.
