The local hall in Boolavogue was buzzing with excitement recently as the local senior residents held their annual party.
The event is always well attended and supported and that was the case this time around when a large crowd gathered for the event.
The party provided an ideal way for friends and neighbours to mingle together in a relaxed and informal setting.
The event attracted over 60 people and the organisers described it as 'a fantastic event'.
Members of the local Foróige group helped prepare and serve dinner, dessert, tea and coffee, which was very much appreciated by the committee.
The guests were also treated to some brilliant musical entertainment and fantastic performances by two Irish dancers, Kiera Gahan and Áine O'Loughlin, who also gave the guests gifts.
The dinner was served at 1.30 p.m. and the party stayed going until 5.30 p.m.
The guests all received a present before leaving and everyone involved thoroughly enjoyed the afternoon.
The organisers thanked everyone who made it a success.
