When Hope Saunders of Mount Temple streaked away to win the Dublin Junior Cross-Country title in November, few had ever heard of her.
By the time this talented 17-year-old added the national intercounty title to her Dublin win, many more were paying attention.
Yesterday, Saunders, lived up to her billing as favourite by winning her first schools race at DCU.
