Robinson can rally Scots and bring Azzurri back to reality
It is one thing to beat France for the first time in the Six Nations, quite another to follow that ground-breaker with an away win in Edinburgh.
Italy have forced the issue physically in all their games, except at Twickenham. They could have beaten Ireland and have humbled France. Their coach, Nick Mallett, deserved his tears of joy last Saturday.
The question is: how much did it take out of them? They were drained of every ounce of energy at the end.
The Scots must be boosted by their near miss at Twickenham. At the moment, their coach, Andy Robinson, is struggling to imbue his players with a consistency of performance.
If their attitude is right, they should be able to finish on a high.
