Mochua get to grips with rugby in blitz
On Tuesday November 5, a tag blitz took place in the Scoil Mochua grounds.
The blitz was hosted by NUIM Barnhall CCRO Gareth Murray. In all, 175 boys and girls from 5th and 6th class in Scoil Mochua took part in the blitz.
In what was a rainy and slippery day, not ideal for rugby, all the pupils involved really stuck to their guns, and tried to play an expansive brand of rugby.
There was no shortage of potential stars and all who participated did the school proud.
Helpers from NUIM Barnhall's first team along with Leinster Rugby's Tom McKeown and Sophie Spence helped oversee a very successful day.
A huge thanks goes out to all the teachers and pupils for making it such a successful and enjoyable day.
Scoil Mochua are looking forward to taking part and competing in more Leinster Rugby competitions.
This is certainly a school with a bright rugby future ahead of them.
