Model Ruth back in city after split from Quinlan
TOP model Ruth Griffin is moving back to Dublin after splitting from her rugby star husband Alan Quinlan.
Close pals of Ruth, who moved to Limerick to live with Alan (35), have suggested that their marriage hit the rocks because she missed her life, family and friends in the capital.
The gorgeous Assets model (34) was spotted letting her hair down with friends in Krystle over the weekend, just hours before it was announced she and her husband of just two years had called time on their marriage.
The brunette beauty, once one of Ireland's most sought after models, was in good spirits as she partied in the exclusive VIP section of the Harcourt Street hotspot.
The mum-of-one was flanked by a number of good pals from the modelling scene including Jenny Lee Masterson, Roberta Rowatt and Karena Graham.
A source told the Herald: "Ruth seemed to be in good form. She looked absolutely stunning and like any young mum enjoying a rare night out with pals." The model often said she was Alan's biggest fan, was a regular attendee of his matches and also moved from her native Rathgar to Limerick so she and Alan could be close to his Munster training ground.
The source added: "Ruth loved living in Limerick but Dublin is her home and where all her family are, so no one is surprised she intends to move back full time.
GIRLY
"As it was, she spent a lot of time travelling across the country so she could spend time with family and friends, and also for modelling jobs. She did get a lot of work in Limerick but she always missed Dublin.
"She has been spending more and more time back home recently so the signs of a split were there for a while."
The model recently jetted back from a girly holiday in Ibiza, where she spent the week chilling out with three of her best friends from her UCD years. Her husband minded their 17-month-old son AJ.
