Jean (16) wins Xpose's search for a model star

Xpose magazine and Morgan The Agency have been whittling down the contestants in the search for Ireland's next top model and 16-year-old Jean Gill Pollock has been unveiled as the winner.

The Kildare native impressed the judges, model agent Rebecca Morgan and Xpose presenter and Xpose Magazine editor Deanna O'Connor, with her supermodel looks.

"I'm so overwhelmed to have won. It's been an amazing experience, I've made some great friends," Gill said.

The competition was run in association with The Outlet in Banbridge and Gill has scooped the top prize, which included a shopping spree at The Outlet, a photoshoot with Xpose Magazine and representation from Morgan the Agency and a Make Up Forever tutorial worth €1,000.

Jose Gonzalez returns for concert

Swedish folk singer Jose Gonzalez will return to Dublin for a concert this Christmas. After a storming performance at Longitude on Sunday, the Heartbeats singer will return to the capital to take the stage at the Academy on December 12, celebrating his new album Vestiges & Claws. Tickets for the gig cost €26 and are on sale this Friday at 9am from ticketmaster.ie.

Duo made up at success

They're two of Ireland's top makeup artists and now Derrick Carberry and Paula Callan's business venture Callanberry is going from strength to strength as it is revealed their range of makeup brushes are now stocked in prestigious UK store Selfridges.

The duo are responsible for dolling up some of Ireland's top celebs including Rosanna Davison and Yvonne Connolly (inset) and partnered up to launch their own range of brushes earlier this year. The range is fast becoming a cult favourite in the beauty industry and was even featured on the glossy pages of Vogue magazine in May.
