Leinster U18s rout Connacht

THE Leinster U18 Schools side is sure to provide the bulk of the Ireland Schools squad based on their domination of the Inter-provincial Championship, which concluded with a 61-3 destruction of Connacht at Donnybrook yesterday.

This followed hot on the heels of the 68-5 rout of Ulster and the 34-12 domination of Munster with a total of 22 tries for and one against.

"We feel the boys performed very well and it was a pleasing aspect that they only conceded one try over the three matches, while scoring a few in the process," said coach Noel McNamara.

Names set to feature strongly in the future of Irish rugby include full-back Billy Dardis, centre Harrison Brewer and back five forward Rory Moloney.
