Huge thanks goes to all those involved at ARLB
I would like to acknowledge an excellent contribution to Leinster and Irish Rugby refereeing by all our active referees, assessors, administrators, coaches, and fitness coach -- and everybody else involved at the ARLB.
It is important that we have competent referees to officiate at every level in Leinster. There are increasing demands -- particularly on active referees -- to be available to referee on any week day or evening, and weekends as well.
It is becoming more challenging in these tough economic times to find time to referee, particularly during the week. I would like to acknowledge the support the wives, partners, girlfriends and families give to our active referees and administrators.
There has to be a balance between work, family and leisure time.
I would also like to acknowledge the work being done by the officers and members of our Executive Committee and our sub-committees.
You are aware that a new Management Committee has now been put into place. This committee is under the chairmanship of Dave McDonald and functioning well.
I would like to thank Subaru -- our main sponsor -- for its assistance in hard economic times and all at the Leinster Branch for their help and support.
Finally, I would like to wish all our members and sponsors and their families a merry Christmas and a happy New Year.
