Euro stars at 'Nure 13s

THE place to be this year if you love youth rugby is Terenure College RFC, when it hosts the second Terenure 13s.

The European Youth Rugby Festival, exclusively for players aged 13 and under, will take place over the May Bank Holiday weekend (May 3-5) at Terenure's Lakelands Park.

If the standards at last year's event are anything to go by, we are in for a treat, with youth rugby never stronger in Ireland.

This festival is unique in Europe, and features teams from across the continent pitted against one another in a league and knockout format on full-size pitches, with fully qualified IRFU referees and maximum game time.

All four Irish provinces are represented again in 2013, with teams also travelling from England, Scotland, Wales, Italy and France.

So far some of the big names confirmed include sides from London Wasps, Stade Toulousain (Toulouse), last year's winners Canet Ste Marie (Perpignan), UL Bohs, Mullingar and Lurgan.

A busy weekend of rugby will be supported by music, food, entertainment and craic. All in all, it's an event not to be missed. To register a team, enquire about sponsorship opportunities or for more information, visit www.europeanyouthrugby.com or our Facebook page at www.facebook.com/Terenure13s.
