Catt: We'll 'starve' Irish

Mike Catt says England will try to "starve" Ireland of the ball when the two sides meet at the Aviva Stadium on Sunday.

Catt (pictured) was impressed by Ireland's barnstorming first-half performance against Wales at the Millennium Stadium last Saturday, when Declan Kidney's men streaked into a 20-point lead.

And England's skills coach is determined Ireland will not be given the chance to showcase their attacking skills again.

"Brian O'Driscoll is playing exceptionally well at the moment. I thought that first half Ireland produced was exceptional," Catt said.

"We know they are capable of doing that. But we need to focus on our attacking game too, which went pretty well against the Scots, and try and starve them of the ball so they can't do what they are good at.

"It is a little game of chess we have to try and win."
