Bohs star raises a glass to Blues

BOHEMIANS footballer David Lodola is changing code as he's about to find himself in the centre of rugby mayhem.

The 20-year-old may be a soccer star, but Dave insists he'll join in the rugby mayhem after finding himself in Bordeaux on the Erasmus study abroad programme. He is working as a bar man in the famous Connemara pub in between lectures for his International Business degree.

The soccer player has nailed his colours to the Leinster mast in anticipation for Sunday's on-field battle, telling the Herald he can't wait to cheer on Leo Cullen and the boys in the rugby this weekend.

The Raheny native said: "I'm a huge Leinster fan, they're the team I always support. I won't get to go to the actual match because I'll be working, but my friends are going to it and I'm sure there'll be a few people from home coming too."

The Dubliner admits he has yet to make up his mind about his future at Bohs. He is a former player at Belvedere FC and won himself a legion of fans when he scored a goal against Celtic during a friendly in 2010.

"I am playing a lot of football out here, but I haven't decided what to do when I head back to Ireland. I'm going into fourth year next year, so I'm not sure if I'll have time to train six days a week, to be honest."
