Erinn bags All-Ireland schools title
Dunleer AC'S Erinn Leavy continues to go from strength to strength after she bagged her latest major title on Saturday - the All-Ireland Schools Minor Girls 800m.
Leavy scorched round the Tullamore Harriers track in a new championship best time of 2:14.56, as well as helping her school, St Vincent's Secondary, win the silver medals in the 4x100m relay.
Elsewhere, it was a Dunleer one-two in the 3,000m track race at the Leinster Masters Championships on Sunday as Nicola Welsh was the overall winner, followed by clubmate Karen Costello.
Also in action was Louth County chairman and Dunleer coach Micheal Mulligan who showed his class by winning two gold medals in the Over-60 1500m and 5,000m events.
Meanwhile, Dunleer AC's Jack Boylan showed great form on a testing course as he led from gun to tape to win last Friday evening's St Kevin's 5K in a time of 15:47.
Pat Fitzpatrick and Shane Lavery, also from Dunleer AC, finished second and fourth respectively in times of 17:25 and 18:42, with Barry McGinn coming home in 20:37 and Denise Gallagher in 23:33.
