The group of unaffiliated athletes from the Drogheda area were not deterred by the wet and windy weather as they continued their fantastic medal-winning streak at the final cross-country event of the season at Glenmore.

In the Under-9 races Niamh Faulkner continued to show promise when achieving 11th place and Nathan Roberston was second in the boys event.

The Under-11 Girls saw three young ladies take medals home, with Chloe Cooney first, Naiya Semple fifth and Lauren Faulkner in 10th place. The Under-11 Boys were keen to keep up the momentum and Tadgh Forde Dunne came fifth and his teammates Luca McLoughlin and Daniel Hanley were sixth and 13th respectively.

Eimear Cooney took gold in the Girls Under-13 event, with Isabella Garcia fifth and Chloe Hanley also finishing very well. The same age group for the boys saw fantastic results, with Shea O'Donnell finishing first, Lorcan Forde Dunne third and Ryse Clarke running superbly also.

As the time ticked by and the weather worsened the Under-15s took to the mucky fields, with Ella McLoughlin finishing 10th, Allie Garcia running well and Paddy Price a very impressive runner-up in the boys event.

Anna Faulkner was last from this group of white-shirted athletes to take part. Competing in the Girls Under-17 race in very tough conditions, she managed a very impressive second place.

Elsewhere, in the Lusk 4-Mile race the unaffiliated Olive Carroll finished in a time of 36:15.
