Specsavers goes Aloud
GIRLS ALOUD singer and West End actress Kimberley Walsh has teamed up with Specsavers Drogheda and Our Lady's Children's Hospital, Crumlin to find a specs-wearer with 'Something Kinda Oooh' as she launches the annual Spectacle Wearer of the Year competition. This year's overall winner will be presented with €12,000 in cash and a dream holiday to the Bahamas at a star-studded event hosted by Gok Wan later this year.
David McCloskey, Store Director of Specsavers Drogheda said of the partnership: 'Kimberley Walsh epitomises a proud and stylish glasses wearer and we are delighted to have her on board to launch Specsavers Spectacle Wearer of The Year 2014. We are equally delighted to announce that the Specsavers Drogheda charity of the year, Our Lady's Children's Hospital, Crumlin, will be receiving a €1 donation from every entry made to this year's competition - another fantastic reason to get involved.'
