Naked man brought to hospital

GARDAI WERE called to the emergency department of Our Lady of Lourdes on Thursday afternoon, after a naked man was brought to the hospital in an ambulance.

The 24-year-old local man, from a southside estate, had been found wandering around Termon Abbey at around 6.45 p.m. on Saturday.

He wasn't wearing any clothes and concerned residents called him an ambulance, which took him to the local hospital.

Gardaí are appealing to anyone with information to contact them at the Drogheda station.

TAKING A NAMA STAND

Sharon Keogan, Independent election candidate in Duleek, has stated that the time has come for all communities to stand up against properties that are not properly maintained by NAMA.

Whether it is overgrown hedging, housing estates in bad repair, rubbish being dumped, dangerous sites, graffiti, or broken fences,' it is important we make them accountable,' she said.

'Thankfully, the liquidators are quite happy to carry out the necessary repairs in the interest of public safety and health.

'To date my office has worked with three properties, two in Duleek and one in Knightswood Drogheda. Meath East has approximately 86 property sites alone,' Ms. Keogan added.
