Jonathan and Marian meet up after he helped save her life
The true spirit of Drogheda was never more evident when a supervisor at Starbucks in the Laurence Shopping Centre saved the life of a customer.
When Marian Walshe from Slane began to show signs of suffering a stroke while in the cafe, Platin Road man Jonathan Fitzpatrick immediately recognised the symptoms .
He organised an ambulance and they arrived quickly and transported Marian to hospital.
Later, she was told his quick actions had saved her life.
Their story was featured in the Drogheda Independent in early May and last week, the pair got to meet up again.
'I rang Jonathan to thank him and we both cried. He's a great guy,' she said.
Jonathan was very humble about the incident, just delighted that he could help Marian on the day.
