Grieving dad's plea to those in despair
A man whose son died by suicide is imploring people who may be in despair to talk to SOSAD before it's too late.
Oliver and Anne Doonan's son Anthony was just 29 when he died by suicide, and Oliver says the stigma attached to mental health issues, among young men in particular, is preventing those who are struggling from seeking help.
The grieving father says the help of SOSAD (Save Our Sons And Daughters) even brought him back from the darkest of places after his son's death. 'I think that if young men could talk about what they are going through, without thinking it is unmanly, more lives would be saved,' he said.
