Drug case

A 23-year-old from Swords who went 'off the rails' when he discovered the child he had been raising wasn't his, was given the benefit of the Probation Act when he appeared at Drogheda District Court charged with possession of drugs.

Gary Richardson of 41 River Valley Close, Swords pleaded guilty to having a small quantity of cannabis at Orchard View, Stamullen on November 16 last.

A WATER safety week will take place on Clogherhead Beach from Monday, July 14. Registration takes place that Monday at 10 a.m., beside the Lifeboat Station.
