Dragons invest €90k in Yvonne's running shorts for women

A LOCAL woman's pitch on last Sunday's 'Dragons' Den' has landed her a €90,000 investment in her company.

Yvonne Brady is head of EVB Sports Shorts, innovative running shorts designed for women with weak pelvic floor muscles, usually associated with childbirth.

The shorts were a hit with Dragons Gavin Duffy and Ramona Nicholas who purchased 40% of the company.

Yvonne had hoped she'd get away with just giving away a 10 per cent stake but was convinced that further investment would come as the product gains popularity.

'The shorts have been an unbelievable success in changing women's lives. They are for all ages,' she stated.

"EVB Sports Shorts now lead the way in providing compression support shorts for women, and are endorsed by both medical and sporting professionals nationwide. They provide support in the places that women need, and give them the confidence and femininity needed to produce performance.'

They feature medical grade compression panels to provide support to the abdomen, lower back and perineum, with the shorts effectively taking pressure off the core muscles.

The shorts have also been endorsed by one of Ireland's top female athletes, Olympian Maria McCambridge. EVB Sports Shorts are available from and retail at €49.95.
