Charity day raises €21k for hospice
Mid Louth Diary
Sarah, Nicole and Gavin Malone, along with their friends and family, organised an array of events recently in aid of Ardee Hospice. Between a match of 'legends', raffles and a rock and roll themed night, they pulled out all stops when raising money for the cause.
With the Ardee Hospice cup being won by Ardee Celtic with the score of 2-0 in the vintage match, Raffle prizes such as Farnham estate vouchers, signed jerseys and hampers to beat the band being enjoyed by over 15 winners and a great night's entertainment such as The side effects, Ronnie Morgan, Pluck Off and Niamh Farrell in Brian Muldoon's you can really say that there were many opportunities to donate to Ardee Hospice Homecare.
The night of rock and roll was a huge success displaying many talents on stage with more than 400 guests and a night full of classic hits and laughs with friends and family.
After all the events Sarah, Nicole, Gavin and Family decided that they would present the cheque in McCoy's bar. After all their efforts, and the generosity of the town, Ardee Hospice Homecare was presented with the cheque worth €21,344.42.
The hospice staff are elated at the amount raised for the cause adding that all money given will be kept in the community and used for the community. Sarah Malone shared that the money 'will help so many people in our town' and that 'we all should be very proud'.
Adrian Crawley was on hand to snap all the events.
The family would like to thank all who came to their events and to the many businesses that contributed to the fundraising too.
