€88,000 for new CCTV system by the banks of the Dee
A new CCTV system is being lined up for the Riverside Walk in Ardee after €88,000 was secured for it.
It will also fund barriers at the rear of homes along the stretch.
Cllr Dolores Minogue said it was something she had agreed with the former superintendent.
Director of Services Paddy Donnelly said there was funding for it and the council were working with the data controller on it.
Supt Andrew Watters said the gardai were also pushing it and hoped to come to an agreement on its operation. 'It would be welcome. The residents will be happy.' the councillor stated.
