Walk and Talk and discover old Drogheda
The 8th Walk and Talk in the 2019 Old Drogheda Society's very popular series of strolls down memory lane takes place on Wednesday July 3rd, at 7.30 pm, when Liam Reilly will led the group from the junction of Mary Street and James St, heading to the Bull Ring, South Quay, St Mary's Bridge, North Quay and finishing at the Mall.
The content will include Graves Lane, Grendon's Foundry, Frank Bateson, St Mary's Church, Pete's Chipper, The characters of James Street, Old Hill, the pubs of James Street, Dwyer's Handball
Alley, The Castle of Comfort, The Bull Ring,The Town Morgue, Finnegan's House, Joey Maher, Tony Byrne, Tredagh Hotel, the pub at number six, Paddy Reilly the"Father of Drogheda United",Foresters Hall, Martin Butterly and Co, The Sound Shop, Mayoralty House,
The Custom House, Masonic Hall, Morton's Mill and Greene's of the Mall. Liam will have his usual interesting stories on life in Drogheda in the past.
The Walk and Talk is open to all and there is no set charge but small donations to the Old Drogheda Society will be accepted,
