Special day in museum on May 18th for Drogheda soccer past
Drogheda Utd and Drogheda museum are hosting another morning at the museum on Saturday May 18th, 10am to 1pm.
The event is to mark 100 years of the club and people can bring along photos, medals, jerseys, and they'll be scanned and stories recorded. Images will be given back on the day.
'We were delighted with the response to our previous open morning at the Museum last month. We received a few donations, including a League Winners Medal from 2007.
'We also welcomed Gene Murtagh who brought in some historic photos. Richard Duffy brought in a photo of the 1924 winning team and helped us identify his uncle Jimmy McQuillan, some of the players including Paddy & Victor Dwyer's uncles, Frank Smyth, Davy Blood etc.'
All are welcome, particularly those with a story to tell.
