Sacred Heart in PE programme

The Sacred Heart School is taking part in the roll out of new PE Leaving Cert Programme. The school will receive funding to assist in this roll out and their grant will be based on how many students participate in the school. These figures will not be available until after September.

"The introduction of Physical Education as a full examinable Leaving Certificate shows that there is a significant change in direction and one that will promote healthy lifestyles and choices,' Fergus O'Dowd TD stated.

East Meath cycle tour

East Meath Cycle Tour - a cycling sportive catering for all levels through the beautiful Boyne Valley - takes place on August 12 from 10am.

There are three routes to choose from ,45km for beginners, 70km and the 100km Challenge. Refreshments on route and after, Parking and Showers on Site. All proceeds go to the Irish Motor Neurone Disease Association.

Cycling Ireland approved - Fee €20 and €25 Non Cycling Ireland members (to cover insurance). Starting from St. Patricks GAA Club, Cockhill Road, Stamullen.

Healing mass service

A healing Mass will be celebrated in the Augustinian Church, Drogheda, at 7.3pm on Monday 13th August 2018. The Mass is run by the Drogheda Community Drugs & Alcohol Forum in conjunction with the Holy Family Prayer Group. It is for anyone and their families suffering from addiction or any illness. There will be anointing of the sick on the night. The celebrant is Fr. Brian White. Light refreshments will be served.
