Over €17,000 raised for CF from the annual Duleek 10k run/walk

The 2018 Duleek CF 10k proved an outstanding success with a record 598 registered walkers, runners and donations bringing in €17,685 to date.

''It was a great days work and more than just a run, it was a spectacular sight to see all the Purple in the one area. The meeting of old friends, neighbours & family members was enjoyed by all,' Ann Noone stated.

'We just wanted to thank everyone involved in the 10K for CF. We cannot name you individually but please be assured we are so grateful to each and every one who helped make the event the success that it is. Family, friends and neighbours a big thank you.

'We hope you enjoyed the music by Shane , Maurice and Niamh. The burgers by Wendy from Pan Euro. The cake makers and bakers and the girls in the tea room. Beetroot Juice by the Harford Family & Chocolate milk from John Mc Donnell. These went down a treat I believe.

'Thanks to all the supporters, Duleek is a great village, year after year since we started fundraising for CF they always overwhelm us with their generosity & good spirit. We thank all of the 598 participants of course, be it runners , joggers, or walkers. Thanks to all our local clubs and groups for their huge involvement. Also, Andrea from Body First and her helpers Aine and Megan.'

The Court House Committee also allowed them the use of their fabulous facility.

The Order of Malta and Fergal Brodigan and his Road Traffic Management Team did their bit along with Superintendent Andrew Watters .
