Holy Hour to begin Advent - There will be a holy hour in Our Lady of Lourdes Church next Sunday December 1st at 7:00pm in preparation for Advent and to pray for Vocations to the Priesthood.

All are welcome to come along and join this special moment of grace and retreat as we enter the busy season of preparation.

67 new homes for Donacarney Little

A decision is expected this week on a planning application for the construction of a total of 67 dwellings, two and three storey in height, comprising 41. 3-bed, 8no, 4-bed, 6 2-bed dwellings and 12n 2-bed apartments in detached semi-detached and terraced format at Donacarney Little, Donacarney , Co. Meath.

The development works include a pumping station, landscaping and boundary treatment, public lighting roads, footpaths and cycle paths and regrading of the site and construction of retaining walls/structures.

Access will be accessed via the permitted and partially constructed roadway off the R150 through the residential development known as Glen Boann.

Oldbridge Manor plan to increase

AN application to increase the number of dwellings from 156 to 168 at Oldbridge Manor, a new development on the Rathmullen Road, Drogheda, has been deemed invalid by Meath CC.

Work on the estate is already underway and the new application sought the replacement of 16 previously permitted detached two storey (4 bed) dwellings with 28 two storey semi-detached and terraced dwellings; comprising 24 x 3 bed and 4 x 4 bed (an overall increase of 12 dwellings). The number of overall dwellings are proposed to increase from 156 to a total of 168.. All associated site development works include the relocation of permitted pumping station 50 metres to the east. A Natura Impact Statement has been prepared in respect of the application.

A new pre-school (Creche) within the proposed development has been granted.

Service of Hope

NECRET and the Oncology & Haematology Service in Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital invite those currently attending or have previously attended the Unit, to their Annual Service of Hope on Friday 6th of December at 1pm in the Westcourt Hotel, Drogheda. Light refreshments will also be provided afterwards.

Due to the new GDPR regulation it will not be possible like in previous years to extend invitations directly. No RSVP is required.
