Inver Colpa hit the waters
Drogheda Rowing Club Inver Colpa took part in two rowing challenges over the past two weekends.
The first was a 19km row hosted by Fingal rowing club, starting at Rush harbour out and around Lambay Island and back.
The conditions on the day were perfect for the crews who rowed long and strong and were the 2nd boat to cross the finish line. Not only did the crew receive silver medals but also a bottle of Lambay Whiskey from the sponsors.
The second challenge was an 18km row hosted by New Ross rowing club, from St. Mullins to New Ross, travelling down the beautiful River Barrow. They entered two crews, a mixed crew with a time of 1 hour 32 minutes coming 1st in their class and a ladies crew close behind at 1 hour 33 minutes taking 2nd place in their category.
'We would also like to say a huge thank you for the continued support from our sponsors FloGas,' a spokesperson stated.
