Fair day returns

DULEEK Fair Day is back for 2014 and will take place on the 16th and 17th of August, with a new committee and a new combination in charge.

Jackie Leddy is the new chairperson while Gearóid Ó Gibne has been appointed as secretary.

Both have been involved with Duleek Fair Day over the last few years and are very excited about their new roles.

'It's a huge honour for me to be appointed chairperson for Duleek Fair Day.

'I have been involved for a couple of years now and it is a fantastic event, with huge crowds travelling a long way to be here.

'It's a daunting task but I'm really looking forward to it', says Jackie.

Gearóid is also relishing the task ahead.

'We will be having many fundraising events between now and then – our first Quiz Night is on Friday March 7th at 8.30pm in Carranstown Lodge In Duleek.

A table of four will cost €20 and all money raised will go to Duleek Fair Day 2014.'
