Dillonstown students give Rescue 116 a great welcome

The pupils of St. Finians National School, Dillonstown had an amazing morning as Rescue 116 came to the school for a visit!

The sun was shining as the magnificent huge helicopter and its crew swooped in over the school and landed at the rear of the complex. The men on board gave a great talk about Rescue 116 and all the great work they do.

'We were also very pleased to have a crew from Clogherhead Coast Guards to make the grounds safe for landing,' a school spokesperson added.

The boys from sixth class made a presentation to the crew, the funds raised from a soccer tournament and jersey day at the school and the parents association organised a table quiz.

The crew also picked the winners for the colouring competition.

'What a way to end the school term for the summer holidays. Thanks again so much to Rescue 116 and the Clogherhead Coast Guards for making it such a memorable day,' they added.
